LaAmistad Holiday Toy Drive

LaAmistad, which simply means "the friendship", is the premier organization serving Latinos in Atlanta. With a nurturing environment, rooted in the fundamental belief in the power of friendships and relationships, they foster academic excellence and help their students, parents and families to achieve a better quality of life. Two of our members volunteer with LaAmistad with after school tutoring on a regular basis. Many of the children are ESL students.

In order to assist their members in need, our Club did a Christmas Toy Fundraiser and was able to deliver over 50 new toys to them. The organization provided links on Amazon with the preferred toys, many of which were educational. Our members purchased the toys, brought them to a meeting with them and our Project Chair collected and delivered them to the organization in time for their holiday party at St. Philips.
