World Polio Day at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

In celebration of the three years since Nigeria has had a polio case, and the numerous global achievements towards the eradication of polio, Rotary International, CDC and Rotary District 6900 extend to you a complimentary invitation to the CDC to:

  • Commemorate the birthday of Jonas Salk, who led the first team to develop a vaccine against poliomyelitis
  • Hear a welcome message from Dr. Robert Redfield, CDC Director
  • Hear from experts at the CDC who have been on the ground working to eradicate polio on the progress made and challenges they have encountered
  • Visit the CDC museum
  • Enjoy a reception with Rotary members and guests and CDC staff
