Down Hill 5k/Run for the Kids Race

Grant Overview

The Vinings Rotary Charity Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a designated beneficiary of the Vinings Cumberland Rotrary Down Hill 5k/Run for the Kids ("Race").  Beginning October 1st, the Fund will accept grant request applications for grants from 501(c)3 organizations benefiting children in metro Atlanta. The Grant Application this year is an online application found on our race website https://viningsdownhill5k.com/charity-grants.

To be considered, a completed  online application must be received no later than December 15th.

The Fund will review all applications, but is not required to award funds to any applicant. Should some or all Race proceeds not be awarded through this application process, the Fund may dispense these proceeds to children’s charities in its discretion.

The review and consideration of the applications will be completed by December 31st.  Awards through this process will be made and the beneficiaries notified no later than January 31st.  

Applications that are not funded from Race proceeds will be retained by the Fund and may be considered for funding from unrestricted monies of the Vinings Cumberland Rotary Club Charity Projects Annual Budget. Applicants that are not funded through Race proceeds will be notified of this status.  Due to the expected number of charities applying, unfortunately, it is likely that some charities will not receive a grant.
